Fundship is a shared expense tracker for iPhone and Android. It is built and operated by Moheb Boules, an individual developer based in Egypt, who is responsible for the data described here. Questions go to support@fundship.app.
This policy covers the Fundship app and this website.
What we collect
Your account
- Your email address.
- The display name and profile colour you choose.
- A profile photo, if you add one.
Fundship has no passwords. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. We store that code in hashed form and it expires after 10 minutes.
What you put in the app
- Workspaces: their name, icon, currency, monthly cycle start day and budget settings.
- Categories you create.
- Transactions: type, amount, title, note, date, category and who added it.
Invitations
When you invite someone to a workspace, we store the email address you enter, the role you chose and whether the invitation was accepted.
Notifications
- If you allow notifications, a push token for each device you sign in on and whether it is an iPhone or Android device.
- The notifications the app shows you, such as invitations, members joining, role changes, budget warnings and the start of a new cycle, and whether you have read them.
Technical data
- Server logs record, for each request the app makes: your IP address, your account ID, which part of the service was requested and whether it succeeded.
- If the server hits an error, a report of that error is recorded.
- A sign-in token is stored on your device and, in hashed form, on our server, so you stay signed in.
What we don’t collect
- Fundship does not connect to your bank and never sees card or bank details. Every amount in the app is something a person typed in.
- No location, contacts or advertising identifiers.
- The app contains no analytics or advertising software, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
- The app asks for access to your photos only when you choose a profile picture.
- Push notifications are optional. The app asks for permission, and you can say no.
- This website uses no cookies and no analytics.
How we use it
- To run the app: signing you in, saving your data and showing it to you and the people you share a workspace with.
- To send emails the app needs: sign-in codes and workspace invitations. We send no marketing email.
- To send push notifications about your workspaces. You can turn them off at any time in your phone’s settings.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems, using the logs and error reports.
We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
Who can see your data
Everyone in a shared workspace can see that workspace’s transactions, categories and settings, along with each member’s name, profile colour and photo. Your personal workspace is visible only to you.
